Job Task — Event Research & Spreadsheet Build
Objective:
Find all shows, events, and expos in requested regions of the US that match our criteria for direct sales stands.
Deliverables:
A Google Sheet with the following columns:
Event Name
Location (City/Venue)
Dates
Estimated Attendance (if available via public sources)
Vendor/Booth Cost (if available)
Vendor Contact / Application Link
Deadline to Apply
*Notes (e.g., pet-friendly, expected traffic, booth setup specifics)
Research requirements:
Use official event websites EG: Eventbrite, Visit Local city calendars,
Include attendance figures where available (even if listed as “expected” or “approximate”).
Include booth/vendor cost or application fee if published. If cost not listed, include link and notes on where the cost would be found.
Provide direct links to official vendor application pages.
Training Provided.
Core requirements (non-negotiable)
1. English proficiency (written)
Must be near-native written English
Able to: Summarize event info clearly
Extract details from long vendor pages
Write clean notes without grammar issues

2. Strong internet research skills
Advanced Google search usage
Ability to navigate:
City calendars
Convention center sites
Vendor application PDFs
Cross-referencing data from multiple sources
Red flag: candidates who only use Eventbrite.
3. Spreadsheet proficiency (Google Sheets)
Filters
Sorting
Basic formulas
Keep data clean and consistent
This role fails if the sheet is messy.
4. Attention to detail
Distinguish between attendee events vs vendor-friendly events
Estimated attendance vs actual
Published booth cost vs “contact for pricing”
Flag uncertainty instead of guessing
Guessing is unacceptable.
5. Ability to follow structured instructions
Stick to it exactly
Ask questions when unclear
Not invent fields or rename columns
Preferred (but not required)
