ERPNext Developer and AI Integration Specialist

About Us
We are a growing automotive group based in Fredericksburg, Virginia, operating two businesses under one roof. My Car Business Services is our independent dealership and My Car Care Services is our auto repair shop. We are building a unified AI-native platform to replace our current spreadsheet-based operations and run both businesses from one system.

We move fast, we invest in technology, and we are serious about AI. This is not a generic CRM project. We are building something custom, the architecture is already designed, and we need someone who can own the execution.

What You Will Be Building
A unified ERP and AI platform on ERPNext and Frappe Framework covering all operations across both businesses. The system replaces 200+ Google Sheets tabs and becomes the single source of truth for inventory, sales, BHPH loans, repair jobs, HR, payroll, accounting, marketing, and customer management.

On top of the ERP you will integrate AI agents that automate the work humans currently do manually. Inbound voice calls, lead follow-up, content generation, job application screening, inventory updates, financing decisions, and OBD2 vehicle health alerts.



Your Responsibilities

Phase 1 — Foundation (Weeks 1-4, go-live Week 4)
Provision Frappe Cloud and Google Cloud Platform infrastructure using Terraform
Set up Google Workspace SSO for all users
Build core DocTypes: Vehicle (14-stage lifecycle), Recon Task, QC Checklist, Parts and Vendors
Migrate vehicle and vendor data from Google Sheets
Build ClickUp-style task views (List, Kanban, Calendar) for the Recon team
Set up role-based workspaces for Executive, Sales, Recon, HR, Accounting, and Body departments
Build Extended Lead DocType with SLA timers and CRM pipeline
Deploy first Claude API content generation agent
Build Mobile PWA for field use
Set up Playwright MCP automated test suite

Phase 2 — Operations depth (Weeks 5-8, UAT Week 8)
Build auction intelligence module with full margin model (ADJ MMR, fees, floor-plan 30/60/90)
Build BHPH loan servicing extending Frappe Loan Management (payment schedules, repo workflow)
Set up direct lead capture from CarGurus, Facebook/Meta, Google, website, and third-party sources
Build customer portal for BHPH payments, service appointments, and document uploads
Integrate OBD2 vehicle health feed (Teltonika FMB003 device) with service alert routing into My Car Care
Set up multi-entity accounting with GL separation between dealership and repair shop
Deploy Vertex AI Document AI OCR for titles, invoices, and auction slips
Build marketing module with Claude-driven content generation agents

Phase 3 — AI and hardening (Weeks 9-11, final go-live Week 11)
Build HR, payroll, and ---------- modules across 4 pay plan structures
Deploy KPI and SOP DocTypes per role
Set up BigQuery analytics warehouse via Datastream and Looker Studio executive dashboards
Deploy Vertex AI Search universal search across all modules
Build and deploy Twilio + Claude AI inbound/outbound sales agent (voice and SMS)
Security hardening, load testing, and full team training
Final go-live

Required Skills

ERPNext / Frappe Framework
Proven experience building custom Frappe apps with DocTypes, controllers, hooks, and workflows
Experience with Frappe Cloud or self-hosted ERPNext deployments
Comfortable with Frappe's permission model, role-based access, and multi-company setup
Familiarity with Frappe's REST API, webhooks, and background workers

AI and Automation
Experience integrating Claude API or OpenAI API into real production applications
Experience building voice or SMS agents using Twilio, Vapi, Bland AI, or similar tools
Comfortable with automation platforms such as Make, Zapier, or n8n
Experience with prompt engineering for production AI workflows

Google Cloud Platform
Hands-on experience with GCP services: Cloud Storage, Vertex AI, BigQuery, Secret Manager, Cloud Build
Comfortable with Terraform for infrastructure as code
Experience with Google Workspace SSO integration

General Technical Skills
Strong Python skills — Frappe backend runs on Python
Comfortable with JavaScript and Vue.js for frontend customization
Experience with GitHub version control and CI/CD pipelines
Strong written English for documentation, weekly reports, and client communication

Nice to Have
Experience with the Frappe Assistant Core MCP server or AI-native ERPNext tooling
Familiarity with Claude Code or Cursor for AI-augmented development
Experience with Playwright MCP for automated browser testing
Background in automotive, dealership, or repair shop operations
Experience with BHPH (Buy Here Pay Here) loan servicing workflows
Knowledge of Twilio for voice and SMS integrations
