Three locations. Hundreds of 5-star reviews. A founder with an MBA and a #1 Amazon book who has already built the marketing strategy and the playbook.

We’re aiming for strong, measured growth in 2026 and beyond. That’s where you come in.

(1) We need an experienced digital marketing professional. Not a trainee. Not someone starting from zero.
(2) Execution of our playbook is what we need.
(3) The strategy exists. The KPI dashboard exists. The playbook is documented. We need the person who executes it with discipline and proves it with numbers every week.

What You’ll Do

You’ll execute the marketing system that brings qualified leads into our pipeline — calls, web chats, emails, and online bookings. Real projects, real numbers, real deadlines:

(1) Local SEO (the core) — manage 3 Google Business Profiles; monitor weekly Semrush Map Rank Tracker geo-grids; grow our local map-pack visibility.
(2) Relationship-based link earning — nurture relationships with Chicago bloggers, green-living creators, hyperlocal sites, and pet/realtor creators that earn quality links to our pillar blogs.
(3) Listicle & citation placements — “best of Chicago” directories and citation correction across our 3 locations.
(4) Content repurposing & social — turn our bi-weekly pillar blogs into GBP posts, Facebook/Instagram posts, and short-video scripts (3+ per platform weekly; 90%+ with no external links).
(5) Backlink hygiene — maintain our Semrush backlink audit and weekly disavow workflow (SOP provided).
(6) Email, Reddit & Quora — run value-first campaigns and community presence that support SEO and generate leads.
(7) Reporting — update the KPI dashboard weekly; flag what’s moving and what isn’t.

Schema markup, all website changes, review-request sending, and short-video production are handled by our webmaster and client-service team — you coordinate with them and write the video scripts; you don’t do those tasks yourself.

Your Background

(1) 3+ years of real, hands-on digital marketing experience with meaningful local SEO work (coursework alone won’t cut it).
(2) Working proficiency in Semrush or Ahrefs — shortlisted candidates walk us through a real campaign they ran, live on a screen-share.
(3) Hands-on Google Business Profile management.
(4) A track record of setting goals, measuring results, and hitting targets.
(5) Strong writing — short, clear, persuasive English.
(6) Comfort with GA4, email platforms, and SEO software.
(7) A 4-year Bachelor’s degree.
(8) Honesty about what you know and what you still need to learn.

Nice to have: Webflow, schema/JSON-LD, basic graphic/video familiarity.

How We Work (this is the deal)

(1) Daily async check-in (15 lines: what shipped yesterday, what ships today, blockers). We do not use surveillance or screen-monitoring software. We manage by visible output, not watched hours — your work must be visible: links earned, posts published, scans run, dashboard updated.
(2) Weekly 1-hour Zoom with the founder to review the KPI dashboard.
(3) Schedule: a full-time engagement (about 40 hours/week of focused work) with at least 3–4 hours overlapping US Central mornings as a communication window.
(4) Dedicated, quiet workspace with reliable internet plus a backup for internet and power. This is a stay-in-place role — not a work-while-traveling role; nomad setups don’t deliver the reliability this position needs.
(5) Exclusivity: this is a full-time commitment — you won’t take on other clients while engaged with us.
(6) Company tools provided under a company email we set up for you (Semrush, AI writing tools, and the rest). You never use personal accounts for company work.

Growth Path & Pay

This role has a clear growth ladder. As your measured results grow, your pay grows.

Level 1 (Intermediate) — $8/hour-equivalent
Level 2 (Intermediate plus) — $9/hour-equivalent
Level 3 (Advanced Specialist) — $11/hour-equivalent
Level 4 (Master Marketer) — $13/hour-equivalent
Level 5 (Authority Expert) — $15/hour-equivalent

Because this role requires proven experience, qualified hires enter at Level 2–3 (a fixed monthly salary of roughly $1,280–$1,700) based on demonstrated skills. We pay a fixed monthly salary for the role and your availability window — not an hourly timesheet. From there we move people up based on measured results, not tenure. A modest quarterly bonus is tied to campaign outcomes (map visibility, lead volume); your base never depends on outcomes outside your control.

(5) A paid 4-week trial at full salary, with real deliverables and clear, written acceptance criteria agreed before you start. We may run this trial with more than one candidate at the same time — if so, we’ll tell you openly, and everyone is paid in full. Pass the trial ? permanent, long-term role.

We’re looking for one person to grow with for years — not a contractor for a month.
