Contract / Part-Time (with potential to scale)
We’re in the early stages (pre-launch, pre-seed) and are looking for a technical builder to help us bring the first version of our betting logic engine to life.
You will build a lightweight prototype that ingests player stats and generates fun, emotional, story-driven prop bets for leagues like the WNBA, NWSL, and NCAA women’s basketball.
You’ll work directly with the founder to turn early-stage betting logic into a working demo that can help us attract users and raise funding.
Source structured data from public APIs, sports websites, or scraped box scores (e.g., ESPN, Basketball Reference, FBRef)
Build a basic prop-bet generation engine based on rules like:
Rolling averages (e.g. “Has scored 15+ in 4 straight games”)
Milestones (e.g. “Needs 2 rebounds for 1,000 career boards”)
Fan-friendly bets (e.g. “Will Angel Reese get a double-double?”)
Create a small working prototype using Python + Streamlit, Gradio, or similar to demo output
Run comparisons to prop lines from sites like FanDuel or Underdog Fantasy (optional)
Help scope out how this logic might scale into a full product (in future phases)

Ideal Skills
Strong Python skills (especially with Pandas, NumPy, requests, etc.)
Experience working with sports data APIs or scraping structured sites
Ability to structure basic prediction logic or rule-based algorithms
Bonus: Familiarity with Streamlit or Gradio for lightweight demos
Bonus: Knowledge of sports betting or fantasy sports logic
