About the Client
Our client is a growing wholesale electronics company that distributes products through wholesale channels and
leading e-commerce marketplaces, including Amazon, Walmart, eBay, and their own website. They source products
from suppliers around the world and are looking for a highly analytical Product Analyst to evaluate sourcing
opportunities and support strategic purchasing decisions.

Position Overview
The Wholesale Product Analyst / Product Sourcing Analyst will be responsible for evaluating new product
opportunities from international suppliers by analyzing profitability, landed costs, tariffs, freight expenses, and
market demand. The ideal candidate is highly analytical, detail-oriented, and comfortable working with large
datasets to make data-driven purchasing recommendations.

This role plays a critical part in helping the company expand its product catalog while maintaining healthy profit
margins.

Key Responsibilities
Product & Supplier Analysis
• Review product offers from domestic and international suppliers.
• Analyze product specifications, pricing, and sourcing opportunities.
• Compare supplier pricing and identify the most profitable purchasing options.
• Evaluate supplier reliability and product quality where applicable.
Profitability Analysis
• Calculate product profitability and gross margins.
• Determine landed costs, including:
o Shipping and freight costs
o Import duties and tariffs
o Customs fees
o Other associated expenses
• Build pricing models to estimate return on investment (ROI).

Market Research
• Conduct competitive research across major online marketplaces.
• Analyze product demand, pricing trends, and sales potential.
• Identify opportunities to expand existing product lines.
• Recommend products with strong revenue potential.

Reporting
• Prepare profitability reports and sourcing recommendations.
• Present findings with clear purchasing recommendations.
• Maintain sourcing databases and product analysis spreadsheets.
• Track market trends affecting purchasing decisions.

Required Qualifications
• Minimum 2+ years of experience in product sourcing, procurement, wholesale analysis, or supply chain.
• Strong analytical and numerical skills.
• Experience performing cost and profitability analysis.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets skills.
• Strong research capabilities.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Ability to make data-driven recommendations.

• Experience in wholesale electronics.
