Content & Video Editor

I am a hairstylist in NYC looking for a remote video editor to help organize and transform raw footage into polished, engaging short-form and long-form content for social media and brand use. I will focus on turnaround time to keep content relevant and up to date.

This role is ideal for someone who is highly organized, visually creative, detail-oriented, and experienced in editing content that feels modern, clean, fast-paced, and aesthetically elevated.

Responsibilities:

Organize raw footage (sending over all videos related to the shoot) and project files efficiently
Create multiple edits and formats from one set of raw footage
Edit short-form vertical content for Instagram Reels, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, and similar platforms
Create artistic quick-cut edits from longer processes and behind-the-scenes footage
Follow creative direction from concise briefs and references with raw footage dumps
Make revisions and adjustments quickly and accurately
Maintain consistency in visual style and branding

Ideal Candidate

Strong understanding of pacing, storytelling, and retention-focused editing
Excellent attention to detail
Able to work independently and communicate clearly
Comfortable taking feedback and implementing revisions
Strong sense of aesthetic and modern social media trends
Experience editing beauty, lifestyle, fashion, creative, or luxury-oriented content is a plus
