Commercial Project Manager

Work Hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM US EST (9:00 PM - 6:00 AM Philippine Time)

Berks Construction Group (BCG) is seeking skilled Construction Project Managers to join our dynamic team and make a lasting impact in the construction industry. This position is 100% remote from the Philippines, with work hours from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM US EST.

Position Summary:
The Construction Project Manager oversees construction projects from planning through completion while working remotely. This role requires close coordination with BCG’s (Our Corporate Office), architects, subcontractors, and clients to ensure projects are delivered in alignment with design intent, schedules, and budget requirements.

Compensation for this role is negotiable, and the company is looking for an expert in construction project management. Only candidates with extensive experience should apply, as the pay scale is designed to reward expertise and dedication. While a background in engineering is preferred, it is essential to be highly proficient in reading construction plans and conducting quantity estimates and takeoffs. The salary range is from $1000 to a maximum of $1800 a month, contingent upon relevant experience—candidates with at least ten years of experience and native-level English proficiency will qualify for the higher end of the pay scale.

The ideal candidate will excel in construction management responsibilities, including managing RFI and submittal logs, RFP/RFQ logs, vendor communication, document creation, word processing, scheduling, and utilizing software such as Procore, Microsoft Project, etc. Attention to detail and diligence are paramount. The successful candidate must be organized and persistent, with a strong understanding of the demands of successfully managing a commercial construction project.

Job Responsibilities:
• Manage construction activities, including budgeting, scheduling, and progress reporting.
• Coordinate with architects to support design development and construction execution.
• Ensure compliance with applicable building codes, safety regulations, and company standards.
• Review site progress through reports, photos, video updates, and virtual meetings.
• Oversee subcontractor coordination, procurement, and documentation.
• Identify and resolve project issues to maintain cost control and schedule adherence.
• Estimate and takeoffs.
• Send RFQs and RFPs to vendors and subcontractors, following up on pricing before deadlines.
• Use online platforms to solicit bids from vendors.
• Work independently to determine pricing sources for different specialty items and obtain the best prices.
• Prepare submittals and manage data sheets.
• Manage RFI and Submittal Logs.
• Create and maintain project schedules.
• Conduct budget analysis.
• Perform ordering and material quantity takeoffs.
• Write safety plans and other internal documentation, such as the employee handbook.
• Prepare change order letters and other documents as needed, placing them on letterhead and creating PDFs.
• Utilize Procore software (training provided).

Requirements:
• Preferred background in engineering or architecture, with experience working for U.S.-based firms.
• Must speak excellent English.
• Must have exceptional technical reading and writing skills in English.
• Must be able to read and understand blueprints at an expert level.
• Must be comfortable interpreting specifications.
• Must be patient, quick-thinking, organized, and able to work well under pressure to manage tasks and deadlines.
