Description
We are hiring a Business Development Manager to own and manage the majority of our digital business. This role is ideal for someone with a strong small business background who is comfortable managing day-to-day operations and stepping into the details when needed.
This is a hands-on role. We are not looking for a high-level executive who operates far from execution. We are looking for someone who can manage and do.
Responsibilities
• Platform Ownership: Owning the end-to-end e-commerce operation across Amazon as the primary platform.
• Vendor & Agency Management: Acting as the main point of contact for agencies and third-party vendors, including managing vendor contacts and leading negotiations.
• Daily Operations: Overseeing technical, operational, and day-to-day e-commerce activities, including product additions, integrations, and customer service escalations.
• Cross-Functional Coordination: Representing the company on technical, operational, and integration-related calls, and coordinating with in-person staff regarding e-commerce operations.
• Stakeholder Communication: Communicating clearly with company owners on progress, issues, and priorities. Problem Solving: Getting hands-on when needed to resolve technical or operational issues and unblock operations.
Platforms and Experience Required
• Experience with Amazon is strongly preferred.
• Exposure to Walmart or eBay is a plus but not required.
• Comfort managing integrations, apps, and technical workflows.
• Proven experience working with agencies, external partners, and managing vendor negotiations.
Education & Experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, E-commerce, or a related field is preferred.
• Experience managing or supporting marketplace platforms such as Amazon, Etsy, eBay, etc.
• Background working in product-based or multi-channel e-commerce businesses.
• Operational Skills
• Strong understanding of end-to-end e-commerce operations, workflows, and vendor relationship management.
• Able to manage day-to-day execution and priorities independently.
• Comfortable working remotely and independently with minimal supervision.
• Ability to work fully during Central Standard Time (CST) business hours.
Nice to Have Skills
• Experience with additional third-party marketplace platforms.
• Familiarity with e-commerce integrations, apps, and third-party tools.
• Exposure to international e-commerce operations or cross-border selling.
• Comfortable supporting or overseeing digital marketing initiatives in partnership with specialists or agencies.
• Experience helping scale or integrate new brands or acquisitions into an existing e-commerce platform.
