JOB OVERVIEW

As a Business Development & Customer Success Associate, you’ll serve as the voice of a growing floral and gifting brand to both potential and existing clients. Your primary focus will be outbound calling to businesses to generate leads, build relationships, and uncover new opportunities. You’ll also play an important role in refining messaging, supporting customer service, and coordinating with internal operations teams to ensure a smooth client experience.

Key Responsibilities:
Lead Generation & Relationship Building
-Conduct outbound calls to businesses to introduce the company’s offerings and generate qualified leads particularly to other businesses.
-Build rapport with potential clients, understand their needs, and identify opportunities for collaboration.
-Document key insights from calls, including contact details, interest level, and next steps.


Sales Intelligence & Process Mapping
-When a lead doesn’t convert, dig deeper to understand the prospect’s buying process, decision-makers, and timing.
-Share findings with the team to improve targeting and messaging strategies.


Team Communication & Messaging Optimization
-Write clear, concise call notes and summaries to share with the team.
-Provide feedback on what messaging resonates and suggest improvements.
-Be available for ad hoc calls or huddles to pivot strategy based on real-time insights.


Customer Service & Operational Support
-Respond to customer inquiries via email with professionalism and empathy.
-Coordinate with the florist and warehouse teams to ensure timely fulfillment of customer requests or issue resolution.


What We’re Looking For:
-Experience with B2B (business-to-business)
-Excellent verbal communication and active listening skills.
-Comfortable making cold calls and navigating gatekeepers.
-Strong writing skills for internal documentation and customer communication.
-Proactive, curious, and adaptable — you’re not afraid to ask questions or change course.
-Team player who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
-Bonus: Experience with ShipStation, Shopify, Etsy or customer support platforms. / Experience in the floral business
