We are seeking a detail-oriented finance professional based in the Philippines with strong experience in Australian accounting practices. This is a remote, part-time role working closely with the principal to maintain accurate financial records and support day-to-day bookkeeping operations.
Key Responsibilities
Manage accounts using Xero as the primary accounting platform
Create and issue invoices, and accurately apply payments
Prepare and post journal entries
Perform regular bank and account reconciliations
Apply and report Australian GST in line with ATO requirements
Generate financial reports (P&L, balance sheet, BAS summaries, etc.)
Maintain organised and up-to-date financial records
Requirements
Minimum of 3 years’ bookkeeping experience, ideally supporting Australian businesses
Proven experience with Xero (certification preferred)
Strong knowledge of Australian GST and BAS reporting
Experience with invoicing, journal entries, payments, and reconciliations
Ability to generate and interpret financial reports
Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
High attention to detail and strong organisational skills
Reliable internet connection and ability to work independently in a remote setting
Experience in Australian real estate or property businesses is an advantage
