Backend Automation & AI Engineer

Role Details
- Full-Time | 8 hours/day | Monday to Friday
- Work Hours: Flexible (Must have at least 4 overlapping hours with 8AM–4PM Pacific Time)
- Location: Remote (must have reliable power, internet, and backup)
- Compensation: PHP 80,000 – 100,000/month depending on experience
- Bonuses: Quarterly performance-based bonuses (after probation)

About the Role

We’re looking for a highly skilled backend automation and reporting engineer to join our Growth Ops team.

This role is heavily focused on building and maintaining automations and reporting systems for Sales and Marketing, especially in Google Sheets and Looker Studio. You’ll also be responsible for managing backend integrations (e.g., Zapier, HighLevel workflows, APIs) and ensuring reliable, scalable, and cost-efficient automations.

AI bot ownership (e.g., our ChatGPT-based call review bot) will be part of your responsibilities, but the primary focus of this role is on automation and reporting that directly impact revenue visibility and decision-making.

This is NOT a pure maintenance role. We need someone who can proactively improve systems, catch issues before they cause downtime, and propose solutions that improve efficiency and reduce costs.

Key Responsibilities

Automation & Integrations
• Build, monitor, and optimize automation workflows (Zapier, Make, HighLevel, etc.)
• Troubleshoot and resolve backend errors quickly
• Design scalable automation flows across Sales and Marketing

Sales & Marketing Reporting
• Build, maintain, and improve reporting dashboards in Google Sheets and Looker Studio
• Develop KPI tracking systems for Sales and Marketing performance visibility
• Ensure all reports are accurate, reliable, and actionable

AI Bot Support (Secondary Focus)
• Maintain and enhance our ChatGPT-based AI Call Review Bot
• Improve prompts, workflows, and integrations with CRM/dashboards
• Ensure bot output remains accurate and useful for Sales management

System Reliability & Optimization
• Serve as backup for other Backend Specialists on Growth Ops tech systems
• Audit tech stack for unnecessary costs and propose savings
• Implement process improvements that reduce downtime and increase efficiency

What We’re Looking For

Required
- Advanced skills in Google Sheets (formulas, dashboards, troubleshooting)
- Strong experience building reporting dashboards (Google Sheets & Looker Studio)
- Familiarity with GoHighLevel, ClickFunnels, CRM setup, or similar sales tools
- Proven experience in backend automation tools (Zapier, Make, HighLevel, etc.)
- Ability to handle API integrations (calling, receiving, parsing, and handling responses)
- Strong debugging/problem-solving skills
- Experience with sales operations and CRM data structures

Nice to Have
- Database management (e.g., Firebase)
- Hosting platforms (e.g., ---------- )
- Experience designing automation at scale
