You take ownership of your output — errors in your work are your responsibility to catch, not your employer's.

ABOUT THE ROLE
We are a growing YouTube-based content business producing talking head and faceless educational videos. This is an operations support role — you will help keep the content engine running cleanly and efficiently.

The role has three areas. They are listed in order of priority:

• Video editing — this is the core of the role and where your attention to detail matters most
• Admin and operations support
• Graphics and visual content

You do not need to be an expert in all three from day one. You need to have the right mindset and be trainable. The workflow for video editing will be taught to you in full. What cannot be taught is the ability to follow it precisely and catch your own mistakes.

VIDEO EDITING — PRIMARY FOCUS
? This is the most important part of the role. Everything else is secondary to this.
You will edit talking head and faceless YouTube videos using CapCut desktop (Pro version required). You will be trained on a specific 3-step workflow. Your job is to learn it, apply it exactly, and deliver clean videos that do not need correction.

What that looks like in practice:
• Cut audio, sync video, and QA simultaneously — not separately, not after
• No words cut off mid-syllable — every word completes fully before a cut
• No screen jumps — mouse movement must be natural and continuous across every clip
• No audio gaps — all clips butted directly together on the timeline
• Audio extracted and managed separately from the video track
• Complete a QA checklist before every submission — no exceptions
• Target turnaround: 20-minute video edited and submitted within 4 hours once trained

You do not need years of editing experience. You need CapCut desktop familiarity, a trained eye for detail, and the ability to absorb and apply a workflow the first time it is shown to you.

ADMIN & OPERATIONS SUPPORT
• Social media research and engagement using provided SOPs
• Community management — comments, conversation starters, engagement
• Manage and track tasks in Asana and Slack
• Update sales systems, lead tracking, and website content as needed
• Data entry, spreadsheet tracking, and document management
• Daily and weekly reporting

GRAPHICS & VISUAL CONTENT
• Create thumbnails and social media graphics using Canva
• Maintain consistency with brand templates and visual standards
• Design basic promotional and content visuals as directed

WHO YOU ARE
The best candidates for this role have come from backgrounds that demanded precision — not just creativity. If your prior work required you to get things exactly right with no room for error, you'll fit here.

Backgrounds that translate well:
• QA or compliance
• Medical billing or insurance operations
• Data entry auditing or claims processing
• Paralegal or legal support
• Finance, payroll, or bookkeeping
• Social media management with a strong analytical component
• Any role where following a system exactly was non-negotiable

You also need:
• CapCut desktop — Pro/paid version — installed before your start date
• Availability EST hours — training is 6–9 PM EST, flexible after probation
• Strong English communication — written and verbal
• Experience with Asana, Notion, ClickUp, or similar tools
• Canva experience — thumbnails and basic graphics
• Reliable internet and a working laptop capable of running CapCut desktop

NON-NEGOTIABLES
If you cannot commit to all of the following, do not apply.
• CapCut desktop Pro installed and confirmed before start date
• Available EST hours for training and regular check-ins
• Follows the taught workflow exactly — no substituting your own methods
• Takes detailed notes during training — does not ask the same question twice
• Submits a completed QA checklist with every video
• Does not submit work with obvious errors — you catch your own mistakes before handoff
• Able to complete a 20-minute video edit within 4 hours once trained and independent

• $3–5 USD/hour based on experience and performance ($2.50 per hour for training)
