JOB OVERVIEW

Job Overview
We are a fast-growing Shopify direct-to-consumer (DTC) sleep technology brand, and we are looking for a highly capable, sharp, and proactive Affiliate Program Manager. This role is focused strictly on traditional, high-value affiliate marketing—specifically getting our brand featured in editorial publications, product roundups, and premium content sites.

You will take complete ownership of our affiliate ecosystem within ---------- . We are absolutely not looking for someone to manage social media influencers (e.g., Social Snowball), nor do we want low-value coupon, cashback, or discount sites.

If you are someone who waits to be told exactly who to reach out to every morning, this is not the role for you. We need a strategic, sales-driven professional who can independently prospect high-authority publishers, pitch our brand to commerce editors, and turn editorial placements into a major revenue channel.

Core Responsibilities
- Platform Management ( ---------- ): Take full administrative control of our ---------- account, optimizing the setup, commissioning rules, and tracking parameters.
- Publisher Prospecting & Outreach: Actively identify, cold-pitch, and recruit high-quality content affiliates—such as tech blogs, wellness magazines, sleep-focused review sites, and premium listicles (e.g., "Best Sleep Tech of the Year").
- Relationship & Deal Negotiation: Build direct relationships with commerce editors and freelance writers. Negotiate CPA payouts, hybrid flat-fee + commission placements, and exclusive editorial features.
- Strict Quality Control: Aggressively monitor and police the program to ensure compliance. You will immediately remove and block any coupon, voucher, or cashback sites. You must also monitor and enforce a strict zero-tolerance policy on branded keyword bidding.
- Campaign Strategy & Reporting: Track key performance indicators (KPIs) weekly, analyzing which publications drive the highest ROI and actively pivoting strategy to scale our most profitable editorial partnerships.

Required Qualifications & Skills
- ---------- Expertise is Mandatory: You must know the ---------- platform inside and out, from onboarding new partners and setting up custom payout groups to pulling detailed attribution reports.
- Content-First Affiliate Experience: A proven track record of recruiting and securing placements with traditional editorial publishers and content sites. You understand how commerce journalism works.
- Strong Outreach & Copywriting Skills: Excellent written English. You must be able to write punchy, persuasive cold outreach emails to busy editors that cut through the noise.
- Strict Brand Protection: You know exactly how to audit an affiliate program to catch sneaky sub-affiliate networks, coupon hijackers, and trademark bidders.
- Proactive Attitude: You naturally spot gaps in our current outreach strategy, research our competitors' backlinks to steal their affiliate placements, and bring new publisher targets to the table without being asked.
- Reliable Setup: High-speed internet connection (with a backup plan) and a reliable computer.

Nice-to-Haves (Not Mandatory)
- Existing relationships or a Rolodex of commerce writers and editors in the sleep-tech, wellness, or premium home goods spaces.
- Experience working with major sub-affiliate networks that power large publications (e.g., Skimlinks, Howl).

How to Apply:
If you are sharp, highly strategic, and ready to take full ownership of our editorial affiliate channel, please reply with:
1. A brief introduction outlining your specific experience managing programs on ---------- .
2. 2–3 examples of high-tier publications, blogs, or roundups where you successfully placed a brand.
3. A quick sentence on how you monitor and prevent coupon sites and brand bidding.
