Shades of Elegance is a B2B window furnishings manufacturer supplying trade partners across Australia. We work with retailers, designers, builders, installers and other businesses, providing custom blinds, curtains, shutters, outdoor blinds and related window furnishing products.

We are looking for a detail-focused Admin, Order Processing & Systems Support Officer to support our curtain admin workflow, order accuracy, basic accounts tasks, and system improvement projects.

This role is ideal for someone who is strong in administration, comfortable with spreadsheets and systems, and able to follow detailed processes with a high level of accuracy.

Role Overview

The Admin, Order Processing & Systems Support Officer will support the daily processing of curtain orders, order audits, fabric planning, track scheduling, customer payment checks, basic accounts updates, and admin system maintenance.

The role requires strong attention to detail, confidence working with order information, and the ability to identify errors before they affect production. There will also be light tech and system improvement work, including helping with reporting, automations, orderbook updates, and process documentation.

Required Skills
Strong admin and data entry accuracy.
Excellent attention to detail.
Comfortable working with order forms, spreadsheets, job sheets and checklists.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to follow detailed procedures.
Good written communication skills.
Comfortable using business systems such as CRM, order management software or accounting platforms.
Basic understanding of invoicing, payments, cashbook updates or accounts admin.
Ability to prioritise urgent work and manage multiple tasks.
Willingness to learn product details, curtain terminology and production workflows.

Sample Daily Tasks

A typical day may include:

Checking new curtain orders.
Auditing order details and job sheets.
Flagging urgent or high-risk orders.
Checking fabric, tracks and parts.
Updating the orderbook.
Reviewing payment records.
Updating the cashbook.
Preparing schedules for curtains and tracks.
Following up missing diagrams or confirmations.
Reporting blockers to management.
Supporting system or admin improvements.
