JOB OVERVIEW

Ad Video Editor (Performance-Focused) — Remote

About the role

We're Katamu — we make premium lifting gear with bold, unique designs for lifters across the USA. We're looking for a video editor who specializes in editing for paid ads — not just clean, pretty edits, but videos built to stop the scroll and convert.

You'll take raw footage and assets and turn them into ad creatives we run and optimize together. This isn't a "edit it and forget it" job: we hold [weekly / biweekly] ad performance meetings to review how each video is doing, and you'll use those insights to make the next batch better. We want someone who actually cares about results, not just aesthetics.

What you'll do

Take written briefs and turn them into finished ad videos
Pull and organize the correct footage and assets from our Google Drive
Edit hooks, pacing, captions, sound, and transitions specifically for ad performance
Produce multiple variations and aspect ratios (9:16, 1:1, 4:5, 16:9) for different placements
Join our [weekly / biweekly] ad performance meetings and apply the feedback
Iterate quickly — we test a lot, so turnaround speed matters

What we're looking for

Proven experience editing short-form video ads (please show examples)
Strong grasp of what makes a hook work in the first 1–3 seconds
An eye for a premium, design-forward look that matches our brand
Proficiency in [Adobe Premiere Pro / CapCut / After Effects / your tools]
Comfortable adding captions/subtitles, sound design, and light motion graphics
Good written English and clear, reliable communication
Organized and able to consistently hit deadlines
Bonus: you lift or know gym culture, and have edited for fitness, apparel, or e-commerce brands
