Position Summary
The Accounting Specialist is responsible for supporting the day-to-day accounting and bookkeeping functions of the company. This role focuses on maintaining accurate financial records, processing transactions, reconciling accounts, managing invoices, and providing administrative support to the accounting team.
Key Responsibilities
• Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions
• Create and send customer invoices
• Record and maintain financial transactions in accounting systems
• Reconcile bank accounts, credit card statements, and vendor accounts
• Monitor outstanding invoices and follow up on payments as needed
• Maintain organized accounting records and supporting documentation
• Assist with expense tracking and receipt management
• Review transactions for accuracy and completeness
• Set up and maintain vendor and customer information
• Support payroll administration by gathering and organizing payroll data
• Respond to accounting-related inquiries from tea
• Assist with month-end account reconciliations and record maintenance
• Perform general administrative duties related to accounting operations
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field preferred
• Previous bookkeeping, accounting support, or administrative accounting experience preferred
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion
Compensation
You will be paid $5.00 USD per hour. Payments will be made twice per month.
Paydays are the 15th and the last day of each month.
Working Hours
Your regular work schedule will consist of a minimum of 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, from 8:00 AM CST to 5:00 PM CST.
You are entitled to an unpaid one-hour lunch break each day. Taking the full lunch break is optional, and you may choose to take a shorter break.
Additional hours may be available based on business needs. All hours worked will be paid at your standard hourly rate. Overtime pay will not be provided.
