The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled AI Integration & Automation Engineer to build and maintain AI-driven workflows across Rackhams. This is a technical, hands-on engineering role for someone who truly understands how to connect, orchestrate, and optimise AI models with real-world systems and large datasets.
Your mission:
Build AI systems that process data sequentially, intelligently, and reliably, not in unstable bulk batches. Think conveyor-belt pipelines: input ? AI ? output ? validation ? write-back.

Key Responsibilities
AI Workflow Engineering
• Architect, build, and optimise AI-driven pipelines that process marketplace data one-by-one, ensuring stable performance at scale.
• Integrate AI with internal tools, seller feeds, PIM-like systems, APIs, and databases.
Product Data Enhancement
• Generate, refine, and standardise product titles, descriptions, attributes, and specifications using AI-driven logic.
• Create intelligent formatting rules (headings, bullets, structured blocks) to improve readability and UX.
Categorisation & Attributes
• Build AI workflows that automatically map products to correct categories and assign attributes for filtering.
• Implement validation steps to ensure accuracy before data is written back into our system.
Automation of Internal Processes
• Identify manual tasks in operations, merchandising, customer experience, and content — to create automated AI solutions to streamline them.
• Factor in error-handling, redundancy, and quality assurance layers.
Model Selection, Fine-Tuning & Prompt Engineering
• Select and optimise appropriate models (OpenAI, Llama, Gemini, Claude, custom fine-tuned models, embeddings).
• Build prompt templates, chains, agent-style workflows, and retrieval layers.
System Monitoring & Iteration
• Continuously test, evaluate, and improve performance, quality, and consistency.
• Solve accuracy issues, formatting problems, or miscategorisation challenges at the root not the symptom.

Experience & Expertise
We are looking for someone who can genuinely engineer AI systems, not just operate ChatGPT.
Required Technical Skills
• Strong experience with AI/LLM integrations (OpenAI, Anthropic, Azure OpenAI, LangChain, LlamaIndex, etc.).
• Solid proficiency in Python (mandatory), with experience in orchestrating AI pipelines.
• Ability to work with APIs (REST, GraphQL).
• Experience with sequential data processing, queueing, workers, or conveyor-style automations.
• Understanding of embeddings, vector search, RAG, prompt engineering, and chain-based logic.
• Practical knowledge of JSON, structured outputs, and validation techniques.
• Familiarity with cloud environments such as AWS, GCP, Azure—or equivalent.
Nice-to-Have Skills
• Experience working with eCommerce data (titles, attributes, variants, taxonomies).
• Experience integrating with platforms like Shopify, Marketplacer, or PIM systems.
• Background in ETL pipelines, cron jobs, event-driven architecture, or data engineering.
• Ability to build small internal dashboards, GUIs, or analytics tools.

• Excellent communicator who can clearly explain technical reasoning.
