About the Role
We are looking for an AI Automation & Workflow Development Specialist to design, build, and maintain the systems that power our internal operations. This is a hands-on technical role for someone who can architect real solutions — not simply operate AI tools. The ideal contractor has a genuine software engineering background and can independently build, integrate, and scale automated workflows across our platforms.
Key Responsibilities
-Design, develop, and maintain automation systems and integrations across the company's operational platforms
-Build and optimize workflows connecting tools such as CRMs, scheduling systems, payroll platforms, and communication channels
-Apply AI/LLM capabilities (e.g., Claude, ChatGPT, or similar) within engineered systems — not as standalone tools, but as components of larger automated solutions
-Identify manual or repetitive processes across departments and convert them into scalable, automated systems
-Develop and maintain internal tools, scripts, and integrations using appropriate programming languages and frameworks
-Document system architecture, workflows, and processes for maintainability and team visibility
-Troubleshoot, monitor, and continuously improve existing automations and systems
-Collaborate with leadership and operations teams to translate business needs into technical solutions
AI Agent Development
-Design and deploy AI agents, assistants, and workflow automations that support internal teams and client communications
-Build retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) systems, knowledge bases, and AI-powered document processing workflows
-Develop prompt engineering frameworks and testing methodologies to improve AI reliability and performance
Security & Compliance
-Implement security best practices for automation workflows and data handling
-Ensure systems comply with applicable privacy and data protection standards
-Manage access controls, permissions, and audit processes for automated systems
Qualifications
-Applicants should have a solid software engineering background. Experience using AI tools alone, without programming and systems development experience, is not sufficient for this role.
-Demonstrated experience building systems, integrations, or automated workflows from the ground up
-Strong proficiency in at least one modern programming language (e.g., Python, JavaScript/Node.js, or similar)
-Experience with API integrations, automation platforms, and/or workflow orchestration tools
-Working knowledge of applying AI/LLM tools within engineered systems and process design
-Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently with minimal oversight
-Clear written and verbal English communication skills
-Experience in a remote, US-client-facing environment is a plus
