AI Agent Developer – Citation Verification System for Word & Excel

We are a healthcare marketing agency. All of the content we develop for clients is based on a defined set of citations. We write the content in a Word Document and have an Excel document that contains the citations and relevant source data. We are looking to develop a custom AI agent (and/or prompt) capable of reviewing a Microsoft Word document and cross-checking them against a source spreadsheet containing citation details and relevant context.

The AI agent must:
- Automatically identify key phrases related to citations within Word documents.
- Cross-reference each citation with entries in a provided spreadsheet to verify accuracy, relevance, and completeness.
- Detect and flag inconsistencies, missing citations, or errors with precise annotations or redline edits.
- Provide clear, auditable feedback directly within the Word document via tracked changes, comments, or highlights.
- Place the formatted in correct order as endnotes numbered based on where the info is cited in the text of the document.
- Ensure the location of the number in document is correct based on the info it is next to.
- Deliver the fully coded and tested AI agent/prompt with documentation for deployment and future maintenance.

The end product should streamline document proofing for citation verification and improve accuracy.
