The Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Intermediate-Senior Backend Developer who specializes in SQL, Node.js, and .NET technologies. As a key member of our development team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining robust backend systems and databases to support our applications. You will be working with a small and agile development team throughout the development lifecycle.

What you’ll be doing
Design and develop efficient and scalable backend solutions using SQL, Node.js, and .NET technologies
Design and develop secure RESTful API services
Develop and optimize SQL queries, procedures, and database schemas to ensure optimal performance and data integrity
Collaborate with cross-functional teams and perform code reviews, mentoring other developers with varying skill levels
Troubleshoot and debug complex backend issues, identifying root causes and implementing effective solutions
Monitor and optimize system performance, identifying bottlenecks and implementing performance improvements
Set up unit testing and automated testing
Deploy and monitor backend systems as needed
Stay up to date with industry trends and emerging technologies, proactively suggesting ways to better development processes
Qualifications and skills
Minimum of 3+ years experience with SQL development
Proficient in SQL database design, optimization, and query tuning
Experience in REST API design, development, and implementation and CRUD functions
Strong knowledge of Node.js and experience with building scalable backend applications
Expertise in .NET framework and experience with building RESTful APIs using .NET or .NET Core
Deep knowledge of software architecture design, design patterns, and communicating through systems design diagrams
Strong knowledge of Git and workflow control – we use BitBucket
Familiar with working in agile teams and Scrum development processes
Nice to have
Experience with NoSQL databases such as MongoDB or Firebase
Experience in Microsoft SQL Server
Experience with cloud technologies such as Docker
Experience with building React and/or React Native applications
