Publisher and Editor - Confidential Digital Newspaper

A dynamic and new digital newspaper is seeking a seasoned professional to fill the role of Publisher and Editor. This is a full-time, remote position requiring 40-60 hours per week and offering a competitive salary of $1,000 per month.

This role is a chief executive position, and the successful candidate will be responsible for the overall business output and cost control, including ensuring story, photo, and community engagement quotas are met.

The Publisher and Editor will be tasked with:

- Managing all aspects of the publication, from content creation to distribution.
- Overseeing contractors, monitoring their work, and offering training when necessary.
- Overseeing sales and stepping in when work slows.
- Ensuring timely publishing timelines.
- Keeping accurate and updated financial disclosures on a weekly basis.
- Adhering strictly to the company's editorial policy.

Required Skills and Experience:

- Proven executive experience in the publishing industry.
- Proficiency in managing a remote team with minimal supervision.
- Tech-savvy, with a solid understanding of digital publishing platforms.
- Proficiency in English at a C2 level.
- Strong financial management skills.
- Demonstrable ability to substitute in different roles when necessary.
- A deep understanding of content production and digital sales.
