Technical WordPress Developer

Hi. I need a talented freelancer to work with me on a Wordpress project. You need to be able to fix issues with a custom theme and work on new functionality in the form of theme updates, and new plugins. We're building a network of sites in the travel domain and need to create a flexible theme/plugin set that can be deployed on multiple domains. You need to be multi-skilled, quick, accurate, and with a willingness to communicate daily both in writing and spoken. You'll be willing to demonstrate your expertise and open to a long-term relationship.

An important aspect of our project is to ensure the build of a site that is super fast, has no code errors and passes speed test and SEO tests with flying colours.

We are building large sites and using programmatic SEO for ranking so we want someone with well developed skills in content capture from 3rd party sites. Please let us know which techniques and tools you have used for data capture in previous projects.

We already have a custom theme that is designed to support a large web site in the travel domain. We collect content from 3rd party sources and optimise this for rapid delivery and for search engines. You will need at least a basic knowledge of key SEO requirements including efficient markup that scores highly with no errors on Google Search Console. You will also need to assist with XML sitemap production and robots.txt.
