Who We are: The Plant Pantry is based in Sydney Australia and we are a small yet leading distributor of only vegan/plant-based food products, serving food service venues across Australia. We take pride in offering a wide range of high-quality meat alternatives, deli items, cheeses, seafood, dry goods, and more, providing our customers with the ingredients they need to create exceptional plant-based menus. With a focus on personalized service, quick delivery, and collaborative partnerships, we aim to become a key player in Australia and drive significant revenue growth.

Job Overview: We are seeking a proactive and results-oriented Business Development Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for vegan and plant-based products and a deep understanding of the food service industry. They will be responsible for driving business growth, building strong relationships with food service venues, and implementing strategies to achieve our revenue targets. The role requires a combination of sales, account management, and customer service skills.

Responsibilities:
Business Development & Sales Responsibilities
1. Following up warm leads with voice phone calls and cold calling potential clients
2. Identify and target potential food service venues, including restaurants, cafes, caterers, bars, clubs, and event management companies.
3. Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing clients, ensuring regular communications for underperforming venues and addressing their needs effectively.
4. Prospect for new business opportunities, conduct market research, and expand the customer base.
5. Collaborate with clients to understand their menu requirements and offer tailored solutions using our range of vegan and plant-based products.
6. Meet or exceed sales targets by onboarding new venues and maintaining existing venues.
7. Stay up to date with industry trends, competitor activities, and customer preferences to identify new business opportunities and maintain a competitive edge.
8. Monitor customer feedback and address any issues or concerns promptly, ensuring excellent customer service and support.
9. Work closely with internal teams to ensure efficient order processing, timely deliveries, and seamless customer experiences.
10. Provide regular reports on sales activities, pipeline, and achievements to the management team.
11. Assist in managing electronic direct mail (EDM) campaigns, including creating content, scheduling distribution, and analyzing campaign ---------- one Support and Administration Responsibilities
1. Ensure prompt and accurate entry of customer orders into the system, including capturing all necessary details for smooth order processing.
2. Assist with administrative tasks such as data entry, order tracking, and maintaining customer records in an organized manner.
3. Collaborate with the administration team to ensure seamless order processing, inventory management, and timely deliveries.
4. General Admin tasks from time to time with full training provided.
5. Organise times for meetings for the directors to visit on site
6. Organise times for meetings for the directors via video call or voice call

Pay
1st Month will be - $700
Following month - $880
We pay the 13th Month pro rata
Additional 30% pay for those days when working on public holidays in the philippines

Sick Leave and Vacation
You will be entitled to take 10 paid days in total for sickness or vacation combined. Unused time will be paid out at the end of the year. This begins after 1 month probation. Vacation time will need to be approved; we are flexible.

Who You Will Report to and work with:
We are a small team so you will be reporting directly to Chris and Steve the directors of The Plant Pantry. You will also have communication with our our warehouse manager who looks after dispatch of orders and receipt of goods and you will need to coordinate with them from time to time directly.
