Front-End Developer (AU Client)

We are looking for a skilled Front-End Developer to join a diverse and dynamic company. You will thrive working as part of an experienced, professional self-motivated team.
You will be reporting to the reporting to the Senior Digital Producer, you will be helping to support internal development teams to deliver our customers digital projects, predominately websites and web-based applications.

You will be asked to tackle some projects on your own but normally you will work as part of pod of developers on one of several ongoing projects. Sometimes you may be asked to troubleshoot a particular development problem or develop a special page/widget/functionality to be included in a larger ---------- sential Duties and Responsibilities:
Work closely with other developers as digital producers.
Be able to assist with testing on multiple devices, platforms, and browsers.
Writing clean code for the front-end and slightly back-end of the software.
Testing and debugging software to keep it ---------- signing user interactions on the web application.
Creating servers and databases for the back end of the ---------- termining the structure and design of web pages.
Ensuring user experience determines design ---------- veloping features to enhance the user experience.
Striking a balance between functional and aesthetic design.
Ensuring cross-platform compatibility and optimization.
Building reusable code for future use.
Optimizing web pages for maximum speed and scalability.
Utilizing a variety of markup languages to write web pages.
Maintaining brand consistency throughout the design.
Able to start page templates and styles from scratch rather than tweaking existing templates.
Able to manipulate and extract art assets to HTML ready files.
Be able to assist with testing on multiple devices, platforms and ---------- sential Duties and Responsibilities:
Minimum of three (3) years’ experience as Front-End Developer.
Experience in UI design and Front-end development using PHP, JavaScript, HTML and ---------- fortable with modern PHP development and working with databases via PHP.
Advanced knowledge of HTML, CSS and JavaScript is essential.
Experience in creating cross-browser, cross-platform web applications.
Experience working with Laravel or other PHP frameworks and developing pages and front-end templates, styles and widgets.
Some experience in SQL, creating databases/tables and setting up for development with PHP.
Experience setting up your local development environment and managing your tools.
Able to start page templates and styles from scratch rather than tweaking existing templates.
Experience with taking design layouts and components and creating a good page/site layout on your own.
Experience building layouts and stylesheets using Bootstrap, SASS, Webpack.
Some knowledge around modern front-end task runners and build system (npm, webpak, mix).
Experience using git source control. Some experience handling merge conflicts.
Experience developing WCAG compliant websites/applications (Level AA) a plus.
Experience working with Adobe Suite and the ability to manipulate and extract art assets to HTML ready files.
Bonus points for experience with animations (CSS and JS).
Passion for usability, efficiency, and performant code.
Ability to communicate effectively
