JOB OVERVIEW

Our growing property management firm is seeking an Assistant Property Manager to be responsible for the virtual day-to-day operations serving as a liaison between tenants and the senior property manager. The ideal candidate should have excellent customer service skills, be proactive, and have a strong attention to detail.


Qualifications for this position include at least 2 years of experience in virtual property management. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, are a must.

Responsibilities will include:

1. Tenant Management: Advertising rental properties, screening potential tenants, and conducting background checks. Managing lease agreements, including rent collection, handling tenant complaints, and resolving disputes.

2. Property Maintenance: Overseeing property maintenance and repairs, coordinating with contractors, and addressing any issues promptly.

3. Financial Management: Collecting rent payments, and managing property finances, including budgeting, accounting, and maintaining financial records. Preparing financial reports for the property owner, including income statements and expense reports.

4. Marketing and Advertising: Developing and implementing marketing strategies to attract and retain tenants. Advertising vacant units through various channels, managing property listings, and conducting property showings.

5. Lease Administration: Drafting lease agreements and enforcing lease terms.Handling lease renewals, lease terminations, and evictions when necessary.

6. Relationship Management: Building and maintaining positive relationships with tenants, addressing their needs and concerns, and providing excellent customer service. Responding to tenant inquiries and requests in a timely manner.

7. Record Keeping and Documentation: Maintaining accurate and organized records, including lease agreements, financial documents, tenant communications, and maintenance logs. Keeping track of important dates, such as lease expirations and maintenance schedules.
