This role is well suited to an individual who is keen to use the very latest in web technologies and is able to create unique interactive pieces that utilise cutting-edge browser functionality.

Our Head office is in Melbourne, and we have offices in Sydney and Brisbane. Flexible and remote working environments are available.

Up to 120,000 PHP per month for the right candidate.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

* Development of custom WordPress themes and plugin
* Experience with PHP development and PHP extensions
* Working knowledge of SQL and database queries made by WordPress
* Comfortable working with debugging tools like Firebug, Chrome inspector, etc.
* Knowledge of how to interact with RESTful APIs and formats (JSON, XML)
* Ensuring high performance and managing all the technical aspects of the CMS and making sure load times and TTFB is kept to a bare minimum
* Knowledge of SEO and advanced dynamic schema when building site architecture.
* Knowledge of all major page builders (Oxygen, WPBakery, BoldBuilder) and plugins such as WooCommerce, ACF, Wp-Rocket
* Server management such as WHM, cPanel, SSH, and CronJobs.
* Aggressive problem-diagnosis and creative problem-solving skills
* Experience with Shopify, including Liquid templating, or similar eCommerce platforms.
* Strong familiarity with JavasScript
* Knowledge of multiple back-end languages such as PHP, Node JS, Command-Line, etc.
* MUST be comfortable speaking to clients (mainly Australian Clients)

Your Technical skills must include:

Very strong classic HTML and HTML5;
Strong skills with responsive & mobile techniques;
Front-end skills – HTML, CSS, CSS3, CSS3 animations, JavaScript, popular JavaScript libraries/frameworks e.g. jQuery, LESS / Sass;
Back-end skills – PHP, MySQL or equivalent language such as C#, java, etc.;
Working knowledge of source control e.g. Bitbucket, Github;
Responsive development (desktop, mobile, tablet);
Experience creating responsive HTML newsletters in MailChimp, Campaign Monitor, etc.;
Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, ability to work with design files for web development needs;
Ability to debug front-end site issues using inspector tools and;
Knowledge of tools & frameworks such as Gulp, Grunt, Node, Composer, etc.

Awesome additional skills:

Ability to work with APIs;
Experience working with CMS systems e.g. Magento, WordPress, Joomla, Shopify, etc.;
Working knowledge of domain setup, DNS records, and web hosting environments e.g. cPanel, CyberPanel, Let’s Encrypt SSL, WHM, AWS, Google suites e.g. Analytics, Adwords;
Experience in app creation, ios or Android and;
Experience in a similar role, ideally working in an agency environment.
