eCommerce Sales Tax Services

About Us:

Brewsy is a rapidly growing eCommerce company using Shopify and Amazon that ships to all 50 states and Canada. We are looking to bring our sales tax services in-house and need an experienced, diligent individual to help us make that transition smoothly.

Job Summary:

We're seeking a Sales Tax Specialist to manage our sales tax compliance across multiple jurisdictions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in state tax, with the ability to manage annual returns, notice management, and data analysis. You will be responsible for preparing and filing all of our sales tax returns, and you should be well-versed in the rules and regulations of sales tax in the United States, Canada, and U.S. territories.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and file sales tax returns in all relevant jurisdictions, with a current requirement of 108 annual returns and growing.
• Monitor our data to spot any irregularities and alert management as needed.
• Handle notice management, including alerting the company to and clearing any notices received.
• Ensure timely submission of all registrations and returns.
• Stay up-to-date with changing tax laws and regulations in all applicable jurisdictions.
• Handle the movement of funds related to sales tax.
• Liaise with different departments in the company to gather the necessary information for filing.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation or relevant experience working in state tax.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in sales tax compliance.
• Comprehensive knowledge of state tax laws and regulations in the United States and Canada.
vExceptional attention to detail, data analysis skills, and problem-solving ability.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Experience in the ecommerce industry.
