Senior Staff Accountant

We are looking for a Senior Staff Accountant to Be the Change and exemplify the Culture of Care here at 7 Leaves. The individual will play an important role in maintaining and improving the accounting infrastructure. This person will understand the needs of each department and formulate process improvements that enhance the overall workflow of each team.

Primary Responsibilities:
- Prepare, record and approve journal entries entered into Sage Intacct
- Perform monthly account reconciliations
- Ensure accuracy of transactions recorded in all general ledger accounts
- Oversee the month-end close and preparation of income statements and balance sheet for multiple locations and entities and meet scheduled closing deadlines
- Review and perform analysis of key accounts
- Ensure all local and state taxes, permits and licenses are calculated accurately and payments, such as business, sales and property taxes, are made in a timely manner
- Assist with all audit requests and work with tax accountant for tax preparation
- Create and maintain supporting financial work papers in an organized manner

- Experience working with Sage Intacct or similar accounting software.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, Google Suite applications
- Strong understanding of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)

- High level of attention to detail and accuracy
- Positive, personable, and comfortable working in a creative, free flowing environment
- Knowledgeable internal controls to safeguard company assets.
- Food & Beverage or Hospitality industry experience preferred

Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field or equivalent work experience required

Experience
