We seek a detail-oriented and organized individual to join our company as a QuickBooks Payroll Clerk. The ideal candidate will be familiar with QuickBooks accounting software, payroll systems, and standard office practices. They should possess strong numerical skills, high accuracy, and excellent attention to detail.
Responsibilities:
Manage and process company payroll on a weekly/bi-weekly/monthly basis using QuickBooks.
Maintained and updated employee records, including timesheets, paid time off, benefits, and deductions.
Ensure all payroll transactions are processed efficiently and accurately.
Prepare and distribute employee paychecks or statements as required.
Resolve payroll discrepancies by analyzing and correcting payroll data.
Prepare and submit reports detailing payroll account changes, including wages, deductions, and taxes.
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll, wage, and hour laws and best practices.
Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll issues or concerns promptly and professionally.
Assist in other accounting tasks as needed.
Requirements:
High School Diploma or equivalent; Associate's degree in accounting, business, or related field is a plus.
Proven experience as a Payroll Clerk or similar role.
Proficiency with QuickBooks and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
Excellent knowledge of payroll regulations and procedures.
Strong numerical skills and attention to detail.
Ability to handle confidential information in a discreet, professional manner.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Ability to multitask, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
