SQL Reporting Analyst

The Role
• Work within a weekly sprint process to complete work in a timely manner.
• Development and maintenance of current reporting structure, ensuring dataset queries are as efficient as possible to keep reports up to date and avoid overloading servers.
• Create reports with an end-to-end process consisting of data preparation, tabular modelling and visualisation.
• Help others within the business with understanding reports and creating actionable insights for others to make business decisions from.
• Provide guidance and advice on SQL query optimisations where possible.
• Provide guidance and advice on data presentation and visualisation for business users to get the most out of their requirements and the data.

Skills and Experience
• Advanced experience with querying SQL through SSMS essential.
• Experience with SSRS (or similar) essential.
• Ability to understand complex data structures and ensure it’s presented in a clear and comprehensible way.
• Ability to adapt quickly as targets and business decisions change.
• Strong communication skills used to liaise & collaborate with key stakeholders.
• Problem solving and curious mindset.
• Strong analytical and numeracy skills, with a high level of accuracy.
• Good time management.
