Job Title: Inventory and Demand Planning Specialist

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our food business as an Inventory and Demand Planning ---------- this role, you will be responsible for managing inventory levels, optimizing ordering processes, and forecasting demand to ensure efficient operations and customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in inventory management, data analysis, and supply chain logistics within the food industry.

Responsibilities:

Develop and implement inventory management strategies to maintain optimal stock levels and minimize excess or insufficient inventory.
Conduct regular analysis of inventory data, including sales trends, product performance, and seasonal variations, to identify patterns and adjust demand forecasts accordingly.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as purchasing, production, and sales, to gather information on upcoming promotions, new product launches, or any factors that may impact demand.
Utilize inventory management software and tools to track and monitor inventory levels, incoming shipments, and outgoing orders, ensuring accurate data entry and timely updates.
Generate and analyze reports on inventory turnover, stock accuracy, and other key performance indicators to identify areas for improvement and implement effective inventory control measures.
Collaborate with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely delivery of goods, resolve any discrepancies, and maintain strong working relationships.
Coordinate with the finance department to ensure accurate accounting and reconciliation of inventory, including regular stock counts and audits.
Continuously review and optimize ordering processes, including lead times, reorder points, and safety stock levels, to streamline operations and reduce costs.
Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments to proactively adjust demand forecasts and inventory strategies as needed.
Stay up-to-date with industry best practices, emerging technologies, and software solutions related to inventory management and demand forecasting.
Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, logistics, business administration, or a related field. Relevant certifications or coursework in inventory management or demand planning are a plus.
Proven experience in inventory management, demand planning, or a similar role within the food industry.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to gather and interpret data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.
Proficiency in using inventory management software and tools. Experience with enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems is highly desirable.
Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced ---------- tail-oriented mindset with a focus on accuracy and data integrity.
Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams and build relationships with suppliers and vendors.
Knowledge of food industry regulations and compliance standards is preferred.
Problem-solving attitude with the ability to identify issues, propose solutions, and implement process improvements.
