Finance Officer (Asia)

We offer new and pre-owned containers for sale and lease across more than 20 locations worldwide, and also provide one-way leasing services across Europe and Asia that helps our customers save time and money. To further our growth in key markets, we are actively looking for candidates to join our team.

To further our growth in key markets, we are actively looking for candidates to be our Finance Officer (Asia).

As Operations Executive (Asia) you will be responsible for all operational and logistics activities, and supporting the Commercial team. You will be working independently, involved in day-to-day operations activities, establishing and maintaining vendor relationships, and other administrative tasks. You will report directly to the CEO. You will be expected to work on Singapore time. This is a fully remote role. 

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
Data entry for payments, supplier invoices
Data entry for customer invoices & accounts receivables
Update payment schedules, travel expenses and manage expense reports on a monthly basis
Perform monthly and yearly closing & monthly bank reconcilation
Prepare documents and statements for annual audit
Process staff expense claims & staff payroll; verify receipts & transaction details etc
Assist Finance Executive in preparing necessary documents for regulatory compliance
Follow up with customers on late payments etc
Respond to colleagues' queries, follow-up with vendors post-sale if necessary
Any other duties that may be requested of you, from time to time

WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED IN THIS ROLE
An extroverted nature that loves to meet & connect with new people
At least 3-5 years knowledge and experience in finance or accounting
At least 1 year experience with Xero accounting software
Excellent people & communication skills
Discipline and a laser focus on outcomes
Pro-active, with initiative to anticipate problems before they occur
Excellent customer service & negotiation skills
Resourcefulness, and never taking "no" for an answer
Ability to multi-task
An innate desire & motivation to meet customers' needs and ensure a win-win-win solution
