Software QA Tester (Quality Assurance)

About the role

As a QA tester, you will be responsible for testing the applications built by our development team against the criteria of the scope documentation ---------- will be your responsibility to design and implement test plans for each project, and validate that the work produced matches the specifications.

This will be an engaging and varied role - working across multiple projects concurrently, including everything from mobile apps, web applications, desktop software, and ---------- two days will be the same!

Working hours are flexible - we are based in Australia on GMT+10, but you are welcome to work your own preferred hours.

Qualifications & experience

Essential:

QA Testing Experience (or development knowledge/experience)
Good communication skills are essential. You'll be working alongside both developers and non-technical stakeholders, and will need to communicate effectively with both.
Creative problem solving skills
Preferred:

Experience working in an AGILE environment
Experience working with Jira
Software development experience
Linux / server experience

Tasks & responsibilities

QA testing of multiple projects - including mobile apps, web applications, and websites - making sure new features and fixes in apps are working to specification
Liaising with the design team to confirm application scope and requirements
Providing detailed feedback (including screenshots/videos, steps to reproduce, etc.) to the development team to rectify bugs and issues identified
Writing test plans for each projects testing requirements (evolving over time as the application feature set progresses)
Automation of application testing (coordinating with the development team)
