We are excited to announce an excellent opportunity for a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our team as a Real Estate Underwriter, Property Deal Modeler, and Bookkeeper with a specialization in property deal modeling. with additional bookkeeping responsibilities.
As a leading real estate company, we are seeking a skilled professional who can proficiently evaluate and analyze complex property transactions, create financial models, and provide valuable insights to support our investment decisions. We’re also looking for someone who has the ability to analyze financial statements, and manage bookkeeping tasks to ensure accurate financial records and maintain communication with general managers on site. If you possess a keen eye for detail, exceptional analytical skills, and a strong understanding of real estate underwriting principles combined with bookkeeping expertise, we want to hear from you!
Responsibilities
Evaluate property deals, including acquisitions, development projects, and investment opportunities, to assess financial viability, risks, and returns.
Develop comprehensive financial models and perform sensitivity analyses to evaluate projected cash flows, return on investment, and other key financial metrics.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather necessary information and ensure accurate modeling assumptions and inputs.
Conduct market research and analysis to assess property valuations, market trends, and potential risks.
Assess financing options and perform capital stack analysis to determine optimal financing structures for property transactions.
Prepare investment memorandums and underwriting reports, presenting findings and recommendations to senior management and investment committees.
Monitor ongoing property performance, comparing actual results to initial projections and identifying areas for improvement or potential risks.
Maintain accurate financial records through effective bookkeeping practices.
Perform accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, including invoice processing, reconciliations, and payment follow-ups.
Handle general ledger entries, bank reconciliations, and journal entries to ensure accurate financial reporting.
Assist in the preparation of financial statements, budgets, and forecasting reports.
Collaborate with internal teams and external auditors during financial audits.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
Proven experience as a real estate underwriter, preferably with exposure to bookkeeping responsibilities.
Strong knowledge of real estate underwriting principles, mortgage industry regulations, and financial analysis techniques.
Proficiency in bookkeeping practices, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and financial statement preparation.
Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data accurately.
Exceptional attention to detail and strong problem-solving abilities.
Solid understanding of accounting principles and familiarity with accounting software.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, and Outlook) & Google Drive
