Construction Accountant

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Construction Accountant to join our team and establish our accounting system in QuickBooks Online and put a bookkeeping system in place. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in construction accounting, specifically in establishing accounts for construction accounting. Experience with California laws and regulations is a must.

Responsibilities:

Set up and maintain our accounting system in QuickBooks ---------- velop and maintain a bookkeeping system that accurately reflects the financial status of the company.
Ensure compliance with California laws and regulations governing construction accounting.
Oversee and preparation of financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
Manage the company's accounts payable and receivable.
Prepare and makes files ready for filing tax returns and ensure compliance with tax laws.
Collaborate with project managers to develop budgets and monitor project costs.
Provide support to the management team in financial decision-making.

Requirements:

Minimum Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Certified Public Accountant (CPA) preferred.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction accounting.
Extensive knowledge of QuickBooks Online.
Strong understanding of California laws and regulations governing construction accounting.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong attention to detail.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other accounting software.
