WHERE YOU FIT IN

You are a Senior PHP developer with a strong background working as a team lead. As lead developer, you will make decisions on the technologies being used that support the development of sites that embody Sliding Monkey's commitment to building excellent products, and must understand mobile development at an expert level. You will run all dev operations for Sliding Monkey, so the ability to create the foundations of a solid development team, is necessary. You will love working with a team of highly skilled people, and will stand out as a mentor to your fellow team members, whether they are in your office or they are working remotely. As a member of our team you must be inspired by technology and have a passion for creating innovative technical solutions.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE HAS:

- 7+ years of experience, preferably in a leadership position
- Hands on knowledge and proven experience with PHP
- Unit Testing Experience (PHPUnit or similar testing framework)
- Proficiency with HTML, CSS, Javascript, and JQuery
- Proficiency with JSON API programming and integrating with 3rd party APIs
- Familiarity with Linux shell commands
- Relational Databases (MySQL preferred)
- Expertise with apache configuration, load balancing and caching technologies
- Experience managing source code using revision control systems. Git is preferred
- Has experience maintaining existing sites
- Excellent requirements analysis and time estimation
- Experience working on large scale systems with high volume of traffic
- Ability to work independently and as a part of a team
- Can work in a structured order in a high pace environment
- Self-starter, flexible on the task given, and can do multitasking
- Excellent written and verbal English proficiency

Bonus

- Knowledge of Magento, Wordpress, Woocommerce
- Has a certification in any of the following Magento Certifications: Solution Specialist, Front End Developer, Developer, Developer Plus
- Experience with AWS
