Job Summary:
We are looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented People Operations Specialist to join our team. The People Operations Specialist will be responsible for managing all aspects of our company’s human resources and administrative functions. There are 3 key objective for this role:
1) Help find the best talent possible with what we can afford for the role (looking to hire 5 more staff in the very near future/now)
2) One of our core values is DELIGHT- each staff should have a metric of 8+ out of 10 on a 4 week average working in their role
3) Facilitate both personal & job knowledge growth with EACH person (we currently have 10 people on team)
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage the onboarding process for new hires, including preparing offer letters, conducting background checks, coordinating orientation and training sessions, and ensuring a smooth transition for new employees.
• Manage employee data in HR systems and ensure accurate and up-to-date information.
• Support the performance management process, including goal setting, performance reviews, and recognition programs.
• Manage employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other benefits.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
• Manage employee relations issues, including investigations, disciplinary actions, and employee complaints.
• Assist with the development and implementation of HR programs and initiatives to support employee engagement and retention.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field.
OR
• 10+ years of experience in a human resources role, with a focus on employee relations, benefits administration, and HRIS management.
