Experienced Audio File Editor Wanted for Short Term Gig: Apply Now

We need an editor to cut up and edit audio for a project we are working on.

This is something we need quickly so you must be fast and efficient with this ---------- the audio file there will be multiple different voices. Never anyone talking over each other. We will need you to cut out all but one voice so the final cut will only have one person speaking.

You will also need to cut out mistakes made when recording and piece everything together for a smooth and error free sounding edit. Cutting out stutters, times he had to repeat the sentence to get it right, + other mistakes.

The final cut should sound smooth and error free with no hint that it was pieced together.

Important things to know when editing the audio:

1. Including the right ---------- most of the audio files, there are multiple people ---------- is important to recognize which to use in the final cut. You will be given samples of what each voice sounds like. We only want to have one voice in the final edit. Cut out everyone else.

2. Listening for the correct sentence to ---------- most of the audio files, one voice is telling the other one what to say. Because of this they will often mess up the sentence and repeat it several times. You will need to listen to the audio and only include the final sentence that was correct. You will know it’s correct when they both move onto recording the next sentence.

3. There are some ---------- nts in the audio where the voice we want to keep does not need to be included in the final cut. (Example: randomly talking about what to eat for lunch). You can easily identify these unnecessary parts because it does not repeat what any of the other voices say and it will be common sense that it’s not part of the recording. If you are unsure, leave it in.

4. Please also cut out excessive um’s and awkward pauses.

We need this done quickly so I will most likely be hiring multiple people. The audio file you will be given will be 5 to 8 hours in length.

This is a one time Gig but we are hiring people for different tasks all the time. So we may come back to you with additional work depending on your skill sets.
