JOB OVERVIEW

We are looking to hire an experienced Medical Billing Assistant for a medical office. A strong medical billing background is important. The shift is full-time, 40 hours per week, US Weekdays, Monday to Friday, 10:00 AM to 6:30 PM CST. This is a permanent position.

Primary role:
Catching up on paper EOB and ERA payment postings, working insurance A/R, insurance denials, rejections, and no responses. The medical billing assistant needs to be comfortable communicating with insurance companies regularly.

The medical billing assistant should have knowledge of Kareo PM, ICD-9 and ICD-10, CPT coding, and medical terminology including diagnosis codes. Applicants for this position must be able to write well with good English grammar and speak English well, have a customer service orientation, and have the ability to communicate effectively with Americans via email and video calls.
