JOB OVERVIEW

7 Leaves Cafe is seeking a passionate MEP & Structural Engineer (Designer) to join in supporting our growth. As an In-house Architect, you will be responsible for the development, coordination, and execution of all related MEP Engineering functions.

Purpose: To ensure that the highest quality of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing construction work are in accordance with project-specific cost and schedule requirements.

Required Education and Experience

- 3-5 years of project work experience
- Licensed in electrical, plumbing, mechanical, or structural engineering
- Experience in using software such as AutoCAD, Revit, and Navisworks for MEP design.
- Experience working in US based company, particularly in California a plus!
- Experience in Retail - Food & Beverage industry (Coffee & Tea shop) a plus
- Comfortable in verbal, written, and graphic communication
- Fluent in architectural documents from plans to details
- Possess excellent communication and organizational skills

Responsibilities

- Timely and thoughtfully execute design-related activities – including concept creation, development of details and specifications, and sample procurement, and preparation and revision of design and construction documents (e.g., conceptual drawings, schematics, Mechanical, Electrical & Plumbing Plans).
- Works on multiple projects at a time
- Produces complete sets of Mechanical, Electrical & Plumbing (MEP) construction documents.
- Meets all milestones in the project schedule. Maintain documentation to demonstrate progress and completion of all phases of work.
- Integrates engineering requirements, site surveys, and field review information, adhering to applicable codes and jurisdictional requirements
- Performs site visitations to determine compliance with construction documents; identifies any deviations and liaises with owner and contractor(s) to resolve issues in a timely manner
- Deep experience in all phases - problem seeker/solution generator
- Architectural design software skills including Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp, PhotoShop, and other architectural design software
- Familiarity with mechanical, electrical, civil, and structural engineering drawings
- Knowledge of California building codes including the accessibility
- Additional duties as assigned
