Wanted: Experienced Web Developer

I'm looking to hire a full time developer / programmer to join our team and handle back end website development.


I'm looking for someone with experience with major technologies, such as HTML, CSS, Java, Flash AS, PHP, MySQL, etc.


The role will include converting PSDs to custom HTML websites or WordPress themes, as well as developing and maintaining in-house scripts and applications, as well as custom ecommerce and shoppingcart integration.


Knowledge of PHP and mySQL is required.


Required Skills:

• Strong portfolio and experience in building web sites (a MUST to be considered in this position)
• Expert knowledge of web technologies (HTML/CSS/JS/ jQuery)
• Experience with scripting languages (PHP)
• Basic understanding of Flash programming
• Knowledge of web accessibility standards
• WordPress design/management experience
• WordPress template/theme development
• Databases (MySQL)
• HTML/CSS (Code that validates)
• English communication skills
• Know how to deal with scaling issues, such as database optimization, performance diagnostics and monitoring


Bonus Non-Essential Skills:

• Graphic Design (not essential)
• Databases (PostgreSQL, MSSQL, etc…)
• jQuery, XML, AJAX, etc…
• on-site SEO optimization (if not, training will be provided)
• WordPress plugin development (if not, must be willing to learn)


Experience working with APIs and datasets is a plus.
