Ecommerce Product Image Specialist

We’re looking for an Imaging Specialist to work on our team playing a critical role in building the foundation for the Stock Building Supply website.

As a Product Imaging Specialist, you’ll:
Work with images from a variety of national manufacturers
Assist in the selection and preparation of photos while keeping pace with our content publishing schedule in a rapid growth environment while still showcasing an eye for strong photographs
Retouch & optimize product images for use on our ecommerce website and in print including masking, color correction, dusting & manipulation
Work with product experts to continuously improve product presentation and present accurate, high-quality visual experiences
The eCommerce Imaging Specialist must have excellent Photoshop skills, communication skills, and be detail oriented
Collaborate with cross-functional partners at the Stock Building Supply headquarters in Raleigh
Work closely with fellow associates to develop best practices, efficient procedures, achieve consistency and ensure accuracy

Major Responsibilities:
Understand specifications and guidelines to create images needed that will meet business requirements
Work with Product Managers and Vendor representatives on image specifications and sourcing of images
Edit, retouch, optimize, and improve digital images for optimal presentation on the web or in print as needed
Manages files, including renaming, resizing, and file archiving
Assist with regular acquisition of assets and archiving of assets to system
Required Skills
The ability to work independently, extremely detail oriented and thrives in a fast-paced deadline oriented environment
Minimum education required—Bachelor’s degree and/or relevant experience
Special knowledge required—Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe InDesign, Digital Asset Management tools such as Amplience, Microsoft Excel
Other—Must be detail oriented, a team player and manage multiple assignments and tasks, set priorities and complete projects in a timely manner
Expert in photo editing, color correcting, silhouetting and image research
Understanding of UI, responsive design, cross-browser compatibility, general web functions and standards a plus
Experience with product rendering a plus
Previous experience with photoshoots & creative image research a plus
