We're looking for an SEO Specialist to join Lycanstone. We're interesting in talking with you for either freelance or full-time needs.

Content fuels every aspect of our work at Lycanstone. Our SEO Specialists partner with teams across project life spans to help build smart solutions that achieve client, user and agency goals.

We’re looking for an SEO expert to collaborate with the analytics, social, creative and tech teams, and bring detailed documentation and thoughtful recommendations to life in ways that excite and motivate people. You will need to understand how search can integrate and work with the larger brand digital ecosystem.

An SEO Specialist at Lycanstone is energized by the nuances of search and how it can be used to connect brands with consumers in timely, relevant and intentful ways. You will be responsible for managing all SEO activities and serve as the subject matter expert in your craft across Lycanstone and for our clients.

Responsibilities include:

Researching, presenting and implementing search engine optimization recommendations
Performing ongoing keyword research, discovery, expansion and optimization
Recommending changes to website architecture and other factors to improve SEO
Optimizing copy and landing pages for search
Analyzing competitor advertising links
Developing and implementing link building strategy
Working with the development team to ensure SEO best practices are followed
Working with creative team to drive SEO in content creation and content marketing efforts

The ideal candidate will have:

3-5 years of experience with search engine optimization and keyword research in an agency or creative environment
A background in creating reports showing web analytics data and site evaluations
An in-depth knowledge of ranking factors and search engine algorithms, including current, past and projected trends
A solid grasp of how blogging, press releases, social media, and related strategies go hand-in-hand with SEO
A functional understanding of HTML and CSS
Experience with website analysis using a variety of analytics tools (Google Analytics, internal reporting tools, etc) and popular keyword tools (Google, WordTracker, Keyword Discovery, etc)
The ability to deploy an effective local and long-tail search strategy
A deep understanding of mobile strategy and how it relates to SEO
Experience in building inbound organic search traffic and improving SERPs

This is a full-time, long-term role and as such you will be contracted to us, Due to location-circumstances in that, we are both international and in Canada, this is a work from home role. Flexibility is preferable in terms of availability\time as we operate 24/7 hours, 365 days a year. You must have the appropriate equipment\infrastructure e.g. good internet, a computer capable of running graphical applications (video games, Microsoft office etc).
