JOB OVERVIEW

Hello!

We're looking for a talented Full Stack WordPress developer to join our team. We need someone who can build custom WordPress themes & plugins based on the designs & requirements we provide, as well as manage hosting and servers.

The first project you'd work on is an Airbnb / vacation rental WordPress theme and plugin—including a multisite network, searchable map, booking calendar, payments, and integrations with other booking software APIs. After this project, there will be a variety of other WordPress projects to build and Upgrade to see actual infoTAILS / BENEFITS:

Position: Full Stack WordPress Developer
Location: Remote (we're in USA - Mountain Time Zone)
Hours: Full-Time (30 - 40 hours / week) — flexible / work any schedule you'd like
Salary: $1,500 - $2,000 USD / month

SKILLS / ROLE:

1. Build Custom WordPress Themes
— Use a framework like Roots Sage*
— Convert Figma/Illustrator files to WP themes / pages (no design skills needed, but attention to detail and strong front-end skills are very important)
— Use Advanced Custom Fields (ACF) and Custom Post Types
— Create user-friendly editable Gutenberg blocks
— Customize the Theme Customizer (using Kirki or otherwise)
— Optimize websites to pass PageSpeed tests

*We're open to your ideas about the best way to build fast WordPress websites/themes that are easy for end-users / clients to edit and Upgrade to see actual infoTE: We don't want to use bloated page builders like Divi or Elementor.

2. Build Custom WordPress Plugins:
— For example: Booking plugin (searchable map, booking calendar, payment integration, etc.)
— Integrate with APIs (like Lodgify, Amazon Product Advertising, Stripe, etc.)
— Customize the WP Admin panel
— Modify and extend plugins like WP Ultimo (multisite), Ultimate Member, etc.

3. Other Skills:
— Write clean, organized, semantic code
— Attention to detail
— Consistent, proactive communication (we use Slack)
— Manage servers and hosting, and troubleshoot issues
