Python Developer

Job Summary:

We are looking for a skilled and experienced Python Developer to join our team on a part-time or full-time basis. The ideal candidate will be responsible for reviewing and understanding our current codebase and completing ongoing projects. The successful candidate will be comfortable with working on both back-end and front-end aspects of the projects and be able to work independently as well as in a team.

Most of your work will be done independently. You will work closely with a Technical Product Manager that will help you understand the challenges, requirements, and expectations of the task.

This role offers a lot of freedom to build cool projects with all of your creativity. You won’t be given tickets or repetitive debugging tasks, instead you will work closely with tea ---------- mbers to create and design clever ways of automating company processes, improving our current software, and integrating with other websites and applications. You will see your ideas come to life, and work on small to mid-sized projects from start to finish. You’re expected to provide input and guidance from the technical end to help your team understand the feasibility and technical challenges of our ideas.

You will be working in a fast paced and unstructured startup environment. You should be okay with making adjustments on the fly, jerry-rigging apps together, and striving for lean profit-generating MVP architecture.

About Our Company:

We sell products online (e-commerce), and direct to other businesses. We are trying to sell our products all across the internet and through every sales channel. You will help us design the fundamental systems of our business. We will use a combination of Software Services and Custom Built Code to tie everything together and automate the processes of the company’s business model.


Responsibilities:

-Review and analyze our current codebase to gain an understanding of our existing application.
-Work on both back-end and front-end aspects of our projects to complete ongoing development tasks.
-Debug issues and provide solutions in a timely manner.
-Develop new features and functionality for our applications.
-Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code.
-Participate in code review and testing processes.
-Collaborate with other tea ---------- mbers to ensure that the project is delivered on time and to a high standard.

Requirements:

-Proven work experience as a Python Developer.
-Familiarity with Python Librarys PIL, OS, boto3 (AWS s3)
-Understanding of AWS S3 API
-Experience with database systems such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, etc.
-Experience with automating repetitive tasks in python and running shell scripts from the Terminal/Command Line
-Understanding of both Windows and MacOS environments
-Experience with version control systems such as Git, SVN, etc.
-Good understanding of software development principles, design patterns, and software architecture.
-Good understanding of building and working with different website API’s
-Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently as well as in a team.
-Good communication skills.
-Preferred Qualifications:
-Understanding of No-Code tools like Zapier, Make(Integromat)
-Experience with Agile methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban
-Familiarity with AWS or other cloud platforms.
-Familiarity with e-commerce websites, SEO, and handling product data.
-Competence with Photoshop
-Creative and ambitious thinking
