We are a small team based on the east coast of the United States. We have an existing PHP/MySQL/Javascript application. This job will at first involve a large amount refactoring and debugging, then followed by extensive unit testing, and finally, adding advanced features.
This is not an entry-level position.

Duties and Responsibilities

- Refactor existing features
- Fix bugs
- Implement and maintain unit tests
- Add new features based on given specifications
- Providing your own opinion on how to best add features

Requirements

- Reliable internet connection
- Experienced PHP backend skills
- Firm understanding of HTML
- Vanilla Javascript skills (not jquery)
- Experience with Git as project management
- Basic project management skills
- Written English communication skills. Occasional oral English communication skills
- Detail oriented
Additional Skills That Are Preferred

- Experience with launching linux servers via SSH
- Experience with Unit Testing
- Experience with Gulp JS
