UI/UX Designer (Figma/Adobe Xd + JIRA) - HYBRID - Makati

We are looking for a UI/UX Designer that has experiences with Figma/Adobe Xd + JIRA.

This role is HYBRID - 2 days remote, 3 days in office (Makati). Start date - April 2023

We are looking for an experienced UI/UX Designer who will join our team. We are looking for enthusiastic, curious, imaginative developers with a passion for technology and looking to take their careers to the next level in a fast-paced dynamic company. You will be part of a constantly evolving high-performing team responsible for the development of new innovative products to delight our customers while leveraging Agile and DevOps practices. You will be exposed to a wide variety of technologies (from front-end to back-end) that will help you grow and evolve your skillset. You will be working with a team of developers and stakeholders and will coordinate with your offshore counterparts as the need arises.


Key Technologies / Skills

Prototype, Wireframe, Mockup, Sitemap development
Conversion of user stories into user flows (i.e. map of steps users take in using an app or service)
Information architecture (how to organize information into an understandable manner)
Visual communication/design best practices (I.e. typography, color theory, layout, icons, etc.)
Research and Usability testing
Responsive web application design
Adobe XD / Figma software
Adobe Photoshop or Illustrator
Basic understanding of APIs
Basic understanding of asynchronous web applications
Background in HTML, CSS, JavaScript (ES6)
Understanding of JSON data format
Git-based Source Control (Git or GitLab)
Agile practices


Day-to-day as a UI/UX Designer, you will:

Collaborate within a small high performing cross-functional team delivering a variety of solutions across our ---------- sign and develop software solutions to meet agreed acceptance criteria and stories using a range of methodologies and ---------- sign and develop software solutions using agreed-upon development standards of the team
Actively participate in requirements analysis: highlight omissions and gaps; pro-actively contribute to discussions whether it be functional or technical in nature; and understand the scope, risk, and complexity of changes by challenging and providing feedback to the stories and acceptance criteria.
Work with product owners, QA, developers, and other stakeholders to solve problems faced by end customers every day.
Get to use the latest UI design tools and best practices to accelerate the delivery of your solutions to the market.
Be involved in every aspect of designing our software solutions to meet agreed acceptance criteria and stories using a range of languages and technologies.
Help to ensure value is achieved by understanding customer requirements, identifying dependencies and risks, and clearly communicating and escalating issues where appropriate.
Hone your UI/UX skills, by performing user research and usability testing with the goal of satisfying user requests and delighting customers.
Actively work in a quality-focused approach within the team
Practice peer reviews to help improve the quality of deliverables and also promote camaraderie and improve collaboration within the team
Proactively engage in Agile practices throughout the development lifecycle: scrums, planning and estimating sessions, workshops, retrospectives, and stakeholder demonstrations where required.
Improve your soft skills by helping mentor new dev tea ---------- mbers, whether they be located onshore or offshore.
