Overview:

We are looking for a temporary full-time Paralegal/Legal Assistant to review contracts and perform tasks that will support our legal team’s diligence preparation project. This position will report to Corporate Paralegal and will be located in the Philippines.

Responsibilities:

The responsibilities include reviewing several hundred agreements/amendments stored on Thomson Reuters Legal Tracker platform, determining certain legal requirements present on the agreements/amendments, completing 10 currently unpopulated contract matter diligence-preparation fields on Legal Tracker corresponding to these legal requirements, and working closely with Corporate Paralegal to facilitate and complete the diligence preparation project.

Requirements:

• 1-2 years of reviewing legal contracts.
• Preferably experienced in reviewing M&A diligence review of contracts.
• Preferably experienced in Thomson Reuters Legal Tracker.
• Knowledge of basic legal concepts present in most contracts (e.g., right of assignment, exclusivity, termination rights, power of attorney)
• Attention to detail and ability to review numerous contracts per day (we have 809 open matters converted from ContractSafe (our previous contract tracking platform) or created before the diligence-preparation fields were added on Legal Tracker. We want to complete filling fields for at least 500 matters total by June 30, 2023).
• Ability to handle sensitive, confidential information.

Schedule
• Full-time (40 HRS per week) for 3 months contract
• Schedule: 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM pacific time (Including 30 min lunch break)
• Pay rate: ?55,000 PHP - ?65,000 PHP
• This is a work-from-home position
