Our offices are located in NYC, but are open to remote candidates who can work EST hours.

We are looking for a skilled Accountant to be responsible for monthly close, general ledger account reconciliations and maintaining accounting schedules.

Job Responsibilities:

*Support the monthly close process and the year-end external audit.
*Monitor, analyze, reconcile and prepare journal entries related to balance sheet accounts. (Bank Reconciliations, Fixed Assets, Prepaid Expenses, Prepaid insurance, Security Deposits, Deferred Rent, Accrued Expenses, etc)
*Work with the Finance team on ad-hoc accounting and finance related projects.
*Assist in implementation of accounting best practices and ---------- ndidate background/Qualifications:

*2-4 Years of professional accounting/finance experience; Retail background and/or public accounting experience a plus
*Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting principles
*Proven ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures and financial records
*Strong proficiency in Excel
*High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
*BS degree in Finance, Accounting or Business Administration
