Every day, my inbox, social media messages, texts, and time in person is full of interactions with both the world’s smartest and most talented Millennials as well as the influencers and mentors that guide us. Any given week includes contact with tech’s busiest startup founders, C-suite executives of Fortune 500 companies, big-time authors and speakers, and the few hundred people who I’m betting will rule the world in 10-20 years.

If you’re interested in building a personal “brand” one day, growing your network, and helping to build online assets like opt-in email lists, social media accounts, and marketing campaigns via email, paid advertising, and content creation, then this is a great opportunity for you. Great for people who want to be entrepreneurs or thought leaders in the future.


Tasks You’ll Complete And Skills You’ll Need:

1) Research, info gathering, and posting our daily email newsletter, jaredkleinert.com/millennialtowatch

Why it’s important: My daily newsletter is one way I can provide value to many of the top-performing peers in my network by providing exposure to their work. It is also one of the “permission-based assets” I’m growing to pre-sell and sell 3 Billion Under 30.

Day-to-Day: Scan my Facebook and Linkedin connections for possible people to feature (and/or pull names from my pre-selected list), manage email communications between myself and #MillennialsToWatch in order to gather their bios, blog links, and social media handles, and develop/execute a system for posting each daily feature in our newsletters and on all social accounts, optimizing for email list growth. This also means tracking metrics and reporting growth, suggested changes, and any problems to Jared.

= = BONUS = =: Learning to growth hack and exponentiate the growth of the email list. This could result in the creation of an additional income stream via affiliate links and sell even more books, which you can be credited with affiliate commissions for if you are doing exceptionally.


2) Design daily content, post, and grow followings on various social media channels, specifically Facebook, Linkedin, and Instagram, with a secondary focus on Twitter and Pinterest.

Why it’s important: These outlets are another way to provide peers with value and repurpose content from my first book, next book, talks, past articles I’ve written, articles I will write, video interviews for my web series, and more. These are other “permission-based assets” I’m growing to pre-sell and sell 3 Billion Under 30, and starting in July I can link to a pre-sale page for my book and track how social media is converting into sales.

Day-to-Day: Using basic design skills to batch design video, picture, and text posts for Insta, Facebook, and Linkedin, and managing IFTTT recipes to syndicate to Pinterest, Reddit, and Twitter. I have some pre-designed templates and various “content pillars” to use as reference for creating new content. In addition, you will use tools like Schedulegram, IFTTT, Buffer or Hootsuite and other tools to help pre-post and manage content and metrics for growth.

= = BONUS = =: Learning to growth hack and exponentiate the growth of my social media accounts and those associated with 3 Billion Under 30 via influencer marketing, ambassador opportunities, unique tagging, etc. This could also result in the creation of an additional income stream via affiliate links and sell even more books, which you can be credited with affiliate commissions for if you are doing exceptionally.


Additional Tasks (possible - you won't start with these)

Organizing my next Book Tour (reaching out to potential cohosts in various cities, podcast and web show hosts for the virtual tour, and local press).

Helping to organize VIP events for my web show launch and book launch.

Setting up email marketing campaigns with strategic autoresponders to sell book to people passively via social media, various press and content marketing pieces, and the newsletter.


Skills Needed To Pull This Off:

Mastery of Spreadsheets
Design prowess and video-making capabilities, even if it is short-form content from an iPhone or GoPro.
Militaristic time management and diligence in communication, research, and completion of tasks.
Excellent communication and written skills. If you’re going to speak directly with the relationships I value most in business, you have to have the maturity and social intelligence to play the part. That being said, neither “sirs” (old-school formality) nor misspellings (carelessness) have a place in how we represent our brands.
“Can do”/”I’ll figure it out” attitude, 24/7 availability mentality, commitment to hyper growth and responsibility, and mature acceptance and empathy for the role. This isn’t easy, but it is worth it.
